Rules Clarification & Mini Bestiary
Rough Destiny » Devlog
I found the need for some rules clarifications after some more play testing. Here's a quick summary of what's included:
- This is a "fiction first" game meaning the fiction drives everything. The rules are there to support the game, not drive it. So, I updated the "What's This" section to explain that better. Unfortunately I had to drop a cool piece of art from the page, but I think the clarification is helpful.
- I added a mini bestiary for Tomorrow's Ashes. Hopefully it provides enough details for the referees to either use them as is or for inspiration to create their own.
- I updated the Running The Game section to include the following:
- If playing a one shot, assign 4 traits to the characters. That makes them a little more capable and fun to play.
- Opponents have an Attack Rating and Wound Slots (not just takes wounds). The idea is some enemies will take fewer serious wounds to defeat and others may take more. The way the wound system works is wounds accumulate, so increasing or decreasing the number of wound slots is how you can scale the opponents. A zombie would probably have 1 wound slot where a giant lizard may have 2 or possibly even 3.
