Both the Heroic Tales core rules and Character Expansion include some big changes.

v1.24 of the Heroic Tales rules is now up to date with other games which share the same platform. Some highlights include:

• Armor: Armor has been updated to use a new point system instead of a dice roll. This speeds up the game even more and makes armor more of a resource which can be managed. Now players can decide when they want to use armor to block hits instead of it being completely random.
• Enemies: The enemy stats have been updated to provide a range for health.
• Optional Rules: The optional rules section includes a new rule for handling Challenging Tasks.  It also includes a new simple and fast rule for handling cover in combat.

v1.11 The additional rules of the Character Expansion didn't change a whole lot, but, 3 pages of Pre Gens were added! Thanks to The Dusky Dragon Inn for providing an open license for their pre-gens for the fantastic Heroes of Adventure OSR game. The pre-gens provide enough to quickly set some skill points and get started. Character creation in Heroic Tales is very quick, but these pre-gens make getting started even faster.
